 Issues discussed at meeting

- New website now online at apollobay.org.au

  Residents and holiday home owners can now keep up to date with current events in Apollo Bay.

  All contact details for councillors and council officers now on website.

• - Eight weeks later, council still awaits a letter of confirmation from state government for funding for harbour resort redevelopment proposal?
• - Councillors workshop on harbour resort implications cancelled last week.
• - Council agenda for its Sept. meeting stated that there was no environmental or climate change considerations that were relevant to the resort proposal.  However the EBD sketches clearly show a three storey building with its foundations at the current high tide level.

- Now that the golf club has been assured of a new lease on its current title, isn’t it about time our mayor and councillors showed some leadership, dropped this outdated resort redevelopment plan and directed council planning officers to concentrate on facilitating a community swimming pool?

• - Colac library annex controversy ongoing.
• - Swimming pool committee Councillors Briefing and council debate delayed until December meeting in Colac.
• - Community meeting on swimming pool Feasibility Study at the Krambrook room Thurs. Dec. 8 at 7pm
• - COS financial position is the strongest it has been for some time, however a large bank loan to cover future capital works is attracting substantial interest repayments.
• - If the loan was through the Bendigo Bank at least there would be a return put back into the community.
• - A motel redevelopment at 171 GOR will provide the correct number of onsite parking spaces and not need a waiver. Well done to the developer!
• - Paradise picnic area cleaned up, but a lot of long grass along roadsides through out the shire.
• - Hard rubbish collection for AB probably delayed until next year.
• - When will new harbour dredge be operational?
• - 4hrs for ambulance trip to Geelong with transfers at Lorne and Anglesea.
• - Condolences to the family of forum member Adrian Cooper who passed away recently.
• - COS council meeting in Apollo Bay next week Wed. 23rd 3pm Senior Citizens Centre.
•   Residents are encouraged to ask questions at the commencement of the meeting to Mayor Brian Crook or in writing/email by Monday 21st at 5pm
